Kuwait – Mubasher: Kuwait, oil-rich Gulf state, will raise diesel prices, said oil minister Ali al-Omair on the side line of press conference conducted today.
However , al-Omair negated any governmental intention to raise petrol, power and water prices.
Late October 2014, Kuwait government and the Supreme Planning Council approved, during high-level joint meeting, recommendations to hike the prices of diesel and kerosene to 170 fils (59 cents) a liter from 55 fils (19 cents).
In a related development, al-Omair noted that the cabinet mulls to lift subsidies on electricity.
